Maybe been asked & answered before....but

Solar battery chargers....
I am doing the "do I have to renew the battery" thing (with many others)
The very honest man in Leeds that checked my D3 out Saturday morning & confirmed my alternator was A-OK & the battery above 90%.......I didnt need a new battery just yet. The solution to my issue is to get & use a solar battery charger.
I have seen (most of) the posts about batteries & read either the "top the battery up" with a charge every few weeks...then its Ctek, Ctek Ctek Ctek posts thumbs up for page after page.

Ok Ok....Ctek are good but only if you can plug them in...my D3 is miles away from a power point when parked & the hassle of taking the battery out - recharging it & refitting t every few weeks........is indeed possible but something I am not going to do unless I really have to.

Hence my Question
Solar Battery Chargers....
I can see ones that are like a laptop (fold out to show the PV cells...fold up to store away) that are 4 Amp....
I wonder if this is enough to top up a Disco battery that sits in a vehicle parked with the alarm on....?
Are there any makes or suppliers that are reccomended & prove to be the solution to parking for a few weeks & not being able to start ?
I havent been to Maplins yet but have looked on Amazon
The current / battery drain on my D3 is so small I havent been able to measure it I presume its the alarm system (as I have pulled fuses on the air compressor & sat nav) in the last round of "trying to find what it is tests".

I know some have fitted a back up battery.......this in my opinion only delays the issue

Any help appreciated !!
 BREXIT - done properly.

Jag XK-but sadly no DIPSTICK...HUGE design fault
FL2 has DIPSTICK..."real comfort in rear seats"
VW Golf wondermobile (?)..has real DIPSTICK
Morris Minor..original DIPSTICK technology..and a real KEY.

Speak to the chaps that have built off-road trailers, (RLD, Wiggs, etc.) They have an array of solar powered options. Thumbs Up
