Automatic Gearbox weird symtom

Dear Collegue....

I have some weird symtom on my gearbox , most of the time the gearbox looks like find some diffculties to change gear from 4th to 5th, just change to 5th and back to 4th, often I have done by manual mode moved to 5th in short or double click direct to 6th gear.
also after take motorway or highway for 2-3hours stay at 100-120km/hr then when entering city traffic (stop and go mode) gearbox looks confuse to select the gear continue with HDC/transmission fault (F symbol dashboard).
might have some experience or opinion about that?

best regards
wana

can you recall what you were doing with the pedals:

1) did you have your foot on the brake or braking?

2) Have you checked that the brake lights are working ok and that they have ONLY OEM LR bulbs

my thoughts are brake switch, brake bulbs worst case the gear selector assemble being worn as its only a series of plastic wheels with teeth on em.

Thumbs Up

Hi...
thanks for the respond,
I pretty sure at that time my feet far from braking, so could be the solenoid problem as you mention.

best regards

not sold separately from LR but from ZF stockist.... Thumbs Up

email jon

they are around £75 inc vat

[email protected]

BTW, ADVISE FROM ZF THEMSELVES REGARDS SOLENOIDS

" Regarding changing any regulators or solenoids, the Mechatronic valve body is a matched calibrated unit and it is reccomended no individual parts are replaced. If you have an issue with the Mechatronic valve body replace the whole unit.

The instructions on how to replace the Mechatronic are included in the Kit which also includes a replacement sump pan. "

Cant say fairer than that - speak to Jon for the replacement part, they are ZF authorised stockists Thumbs Up

www.automaticchoice.com which do have sister stockists europe Thumbs Up
