I have been using the Lidl one on the Disco for at least the last 2 winters
No issues, good saving.
Mine lives on the garage wall near the up and over door. I then chockblocked a bigger sheathed cable (2 core mains cable) that runs under the door and into the tow socket.
Just need to remember to unplug it............. 
I also have a Ctek for the other toy. The only operational difference appears to be if there is a power cut, the Ctek resets itself, where the Lidl one doesn't. But this isn't an issue for me as there are enough indicator lights to tell you what is going on.

Hi
the MXS5.0 is the best solution for those who are cost sensitive and/or don't need the 7A supply function.
CTEK are the de-facto world standard nowadays. We use 20 of those and they give brilliant service.
On D3 and D4 I would be hesitant to connect an el cheapo charger.

is there a make type of battery that is a replacement for the standard battery....that may last a litttle longer ? BREXIT - done properly.
Right now ...We need Government - not Politics

Hi guys
Optima or Varta AGM. Optima is the best but priced steeply.
No matter which battery you select, you should give it a boost charge once every 6 weeks in summer and once every 4 weeks in winter.
Then the battery should last you upwards of 5 years.
My personal record for a battery that was used occasionally was 12 years.  EX AFRICA SEMPER ALIQUID NOVI
