After my less than happy experience with them on my BMW I'd not touch them, ever.
Noisy, expensive, impossible to repair, hard to get replacements, minimal choice of brands, and with some puncture types eg sidewall damage they don't even work.
Just my view.____

Thanks a trillion for your response.
I use a BMW at the moment, but out here in Nigeria we repair run flats. Yes, I agree they are noisy but newer ones are much improved. As for sidewall damage, that seems to be a problem on all tyres. Had one last month on my brand new LR4 and that was the end of the tyre.
I'd love to find out if it does make the LR4 much less refined so I dont have to do the expensive experiment myself!!!!!

I'm with Graham there, got them on the MINI, the ride is awful and the grip is poor.
Are they even available in the load rating and size for a D3/4 anyway?Clive

Yes, but you have a spare... and are therefore mobile again after changing the wheel. If you use runflats (and have no spare) then you're stuffed.____
