If its just the pads that have been done then sticky calliper is most likely especially if it appears to drive ok and the wheel is hot. When epb was problem the car bounced around like the wheel was falling off. Thumbs Up

Possible that as the old pads were worn they didn't drag on the disc, but now you have new, fat pads on there, they do. Thumbs Up

Disc brake caliper? I've replaced both of mine in the last 3 months because they stuck on.

Something else you can check very simply, the pins that the calliper slides on can get stiff. Push the pads right back and check the calliper slides easily. They may just need cleaning with some fine crocus paper and some copper grease.

Look at bodsys brake bible for how to get at things if you are not sure

Sometimes what happens is if the brake caliper is tight, it flexes ok on the old worn out pad, when the piston is quite a way out. But when fitting new pads & the piston is pushed back in, because the caliper is tight, they stick causing the brake to stick on slightly. Assuming the pads are free in their sliders & the pins are free, then most likely a new brake caliper is needed.
If it is a caliper, it isn't a fault of the person who fitted the pads. Sometimes you can notice that one piston is tighter than the other to go back when fitting, which gives you a clue, but not always.

HTH
regards
Steve

took it back to them today turns out it was the spring clips that hold the handbrake pads and was allowing the pad to twist onto the disc a bit Confused

Had this problem last week, stripped down the rear brakes and replaced the pads as they were nearly ready, but the ovber heating issue was a sticking caliper on the drivers side rear caused by some rust that had formed under the rubber seal.

The hand brake had been sticking on when applied.

A little bit of cleaning and a squirt of something slippy and all is good again.

Probably as a result of backing into salt water a few weeks ago to recover some jet skis for work.
