I always keep a snap-on half inch drive rattle gun with a spare battery in the boot, and of course a good quality knuckle bar just in case. The rattle gun will easily undo wheel nuts and combined with a proper alloy wheel socket (impact resistant covered in a plastic sleeve) means no scratched alloys.
