Why cant LR give us a wheel changing suspension option |
|
I remember that the Citreon DS didnt use a jack. You sort of locked a wheel into position and then adjusted the suspension the locked wheel would be suspended on a prop. Extremely convenient!!
Wonder if LR could work something out as it would be extremely useful especially off road.
Hi LR!! Hope you are reading this??

I had a couple of DS'es...
You just raised the suspension to the highest level and then placed the solid stand under the chassis near the wheel to be changed. When you then lowered the suspension that wheel would be left in the air. Easy!
You'd think something similar could have been provided on the D3, but I'm guessing the total height range of the suspension would have to be more than at present?

With the engine running on the D3, slightly jack one wish bone, then wait a few seconds for the suspension to self level - the wheel will then magically cock it's self into the air.

Ds and Disco suspension systems are very different and the main reason for them not being able to do this
Do as above with the suspension arm trick or get a good bottle jack like me FFRR Owner, very nearly became a D3 owner
Test piloted a new D4 XS SDV6.. Gone and being forgotten i hope!!

Jacks amd wishbones dont make good bedfellows. It is better to have and not need it then need and not have it.

There's some oddity in the Android stock browser that resubmits data if you hit back on your browser . Just ask my favourite Indian Takeaway how many Prawn Dhansak I ordered a couple of weeks ago
