Check rear tyre pressures, also check that the tyres are 111 load rated and not lower as lower load rating will make it very unstable with the caravan on the back. MY17 D5 1st Edition Namib Orange

Also check the noseweight of the caravan and make sure the height of the towball allows the caravan to sit level or slightly nose down.

As others have said get your rear tyre pressures up to 42 psi, get your nose weight up to either the caravan or towbar max (which ever is the lower figure) and keep the can well loaded with no heavy items at the rear of the van.
You certainly know its attached people who say I don't know it's there are misleading. 2013 Evoque

I find that keeping heavy items out of the caravan, and put them in the boot helps. Also, keep the load in the van around its axle(s) as much as possible.

I found that my D3 and now the D4 like the caravan noseweight up around the 100Kgs mark, otherwise I experienced some pitching. We always have a boot full of gear too which keeps the weight up in the car too.
Tyre pressure front and back also at the max when towing and all is well with my outfit (Sterling twin axle).
I noticed an overall improvement when I swopped to the multi height towbar, probably a better height for our set up.

I am on third caravan, a Bailey single axle. This one is more susceptible to bounce than previous. I did a short run without bothering to inflate the rear tyres to 42 psi and really noticed the difference. I will always inflate to max. Also, as others have said, I try to keep heavy things in the car. This was not a problem when travelling with SWMBO, two boys, two kayaks one dog and four bikes, but now it's just me, dog and SWMBO, a bit more weight in the boot helps, along with max permitted load on tow ball.
Before anyone else suggests it, SWMBO does not travel well in boot 2005, TDV6 S, Auto, 190k miles, owned from new, V8 Brake Upgrade, Nancom Evo, RLD protector, BAS EGR blanking & Remap, separate ATF cooler, changing all the fluids ahead of time.
