sat nav and amp auto lec
ok chaps , took d3 down to auto lec this morning , nothing showing on fuse 58 but fuse tested and ok ,but when a tester probe was put on fuse in situ satnav came on and sound from amp , he said its working from the resistance , the risistance was 1449oms so wat the does that mean -------------------------------------------------
if you cant hold on dont let go , it ill come in handy for something even if you never use it.

sounds like the fuse or the fuse holder .
if hes putting his meter across the terminals ...sounds like his probe is making the circuitG4 Gone ...but not forgotten

he,s tester connects to battery with long lead and got point other end that he touched the fuse with , he said its turning on from the resistance of the tester ,he thinks could be a module or an ecu he thought it was when he pushed fuse but he done this without tester nothing again ,only comes on with tester on it -------------------------------------------------

did he check fuseable link 18 e in battery fuse box ...that supplies the power to fuse 58
no good looking to see if its blown ...you need to do a continuity test across the 2 terminalsG4 Gone ...but not forgotten

looks like this
just looking at top is no good ..pull it out and check continuity .
if its alright ..then its a pig to get the fuse box out to check the underside ...i would run another live to fuse 58 ...be a lot quicker .G4 Gone ...but not forgotten

It sounds like he is using a power probe, and sticking 12v into the circuit, which is powering everything up
Sounds like a connector has been left unplugged, or the terminal has been pushed out of the connector, or even a trapped wire, but I can't think what one you would have affected when lifting the body off...My D3 Build Thread

ok chaps , the fuse link 18 is ok , intermitant live to fuse No 58 , he thinks something blown on sercut board behind fuse box in glove box ,so he made an in line fuse link ,and taken it from a live feed until i can get it sorted so now got satnav and amp all for £20.00 -------------------------------------------------
