The dreaed suspension FAULT!

I get random suspension faults on my 2007 D3. They disapear when I do a switch on/off operation.
My dealer changed the sensors (all 4). And then the compressor.

I still get the Fault. Now they blame my Faskit system.

Before removing it, I would like to try every known fix.

I have listed:
- hard reset (unplug battery for 5 minutes)
- new batttery
- compressor relay
- replace stop lights bulbs
- replace brake light switch (behind the trim panel under the steering wheel )
- control drier
- change compressor valve kit
- clean connectors behind the rear left wheel
- clean connectors behind the Near Side Front wheel arch
- reset the steering angle sensor

Is there anything left to do?

Many thanks. Bow down

Have you checked the connectors behind the Near Side Front wheel arch?

When I was getting errors popping up after driving through puddles etc, I took these apart and dried & cleaned them which stopped the error.

Added. Thanks.

I have tried up and downs many times to generate the error.
I have noticed that the back suspensions seem to work ok and quiet fast. The front are slower and they finally stay down. The front part of the car is heavier too ... Maybe thats why?

Brake light switch? Heard this can cause spurious faults.

The brake light switch is behind the trim panel under the steering wheel (at least on UK models...).

I believe there are two 'flavours' - one branded Land Rover and one branded FoMoCo - not sure which is the latest / best. I'd check with TLO (Nick @ Yeovil).

It's a 10 minute replacement job.

No. We are working on it. There may be a problem with one of my front shocks.

You haven't mentioned having the steering angle sensor recalibrated. I had the same suspension faults as you which cleared after a switch off but always returned within 25 miles.
After reading a few posts on here, I had a trip to Wiggs gaff, and using his Faultmate , he kindly reset the steering angle sensor. Problem solved for me. Wink

I'll add that to the list, thanks.

It seems that changing the front shock makes it better. I'll try a 2 hour trip tomorrow to really test it.

I potential buyer comes to see it tomorrow. I knock on wood ...

The suspension change seems to have solved the problem.

I still get this : when I change the height, the FRONT will always be quicker to go down and much slower to go up than the REAR. Like if it was lacking power in the front.
Sometimes it goes so quickly down than I get the "extended mode" message and the car will go up instead of going down (not very cool when you need to park in a basement parking). I have to press the button down several times to force it down.

Any ideas?
