Evening all. Can anyone shine a light on these.
P0191 Sensor 'A' circuit range/ performance. Signal stuck high.
P0088 Fuel rail/ system pressure - to high.
Usual story. Dumped the car etc. fine on restart. Had similar code some six months back. Only once then whilst stop start traffic shunting. This time at 40 with no warning. I'm reluctant to throw a random tick over into the pile as it may be separate item but it does a VERY random surge that sounds like a load going onto the motor. Sometimes two or three times in a row sometimes not for ten mins?(alternator?)
Any thoughts ladies and gents on the codes mostly.

Someone must be able to shed some light on this? I'm not looking for the meaning of the codes as I can google that I'm just wanting any suggestions as to why it's reading high. Previous fuel faults have always prompted a low pressure type of warning. It really cannot want another hpfp which is the ultimate end conclusion. I have owned this car from new and I am a fuel snob and over service it. This would be its fourth hpfp in 4 1/2 years! Average 20 k a pump!

The regulator valve controls the fuel pressure, which is part of the HPFP...
I remember fitting a new pump to a sport a few years back, turns out there was a dodgy batch of pumps, and that car ended up having another 3 new pumps fitted under parts warranty after that until they got a good one...My D3 Build Thread
Refresh my memory. Is that the wired valve on the hpfp as I have the old pump still. Is it changeable? Ie can I swap between the two to eliminate? Oddly on the last low pressure problems the pump never cured it but the manifold pressure switch did? Thanks for the reply by the way.
It's a Landrover thing. Checked engine sensor wires and nothing to be seen. Removed maf sensor and it was very oily/ sooty. Bit odd as it has never been like this before I started using tso. Relpaced and its not done it for best part of two weeks and tick over is no longer sounding like it loads up? What was the cause of tripping out and high pressure? Well I shall never know for certain! It's a Landrover thing

Possibly the P0191 fault was a red herring?
We had this fault show up for the whole 2.5 years we had our D3 with not one running issue
