Help Need With D4 Timed Climate Activation |
|
I have fitted the kit to my 2012 D4 which has been in 2 other D4s and got Activation by pete at BAS and worked all ok
Called my dealer and asked if the dealer could switch on the sysytem now i have fitted it
The dealer said yes booked in for week end just gone.
I said to the dealer that the booked time for the whole job is 0.8 hour so all i want to pay is 0.5 labour dealer said ok
Dropped car off in the morning and went shopping in town with wife
Had call from dealer said we can not get the remotes to program to car and need to phone landrover on monday
I said keep the car and we went home on the bus.
Monday am phone call waiting form LR the send out flow chart to fault find
Tuesday pm still not working dealer said flow chart reads check this check that. and it now needs new batterys in the remotes do not keep them coming in the morning £7 each special battery.
I asked whats the cost so far so was told 2.5 hours labour to check this and that at £99 a hour +vat
So if the batterys work its 3 hours labour to switch on the CCF for Timed Climate Activation
Do i pay 3 hours to fit 2 batterys in remotes and switch on CCF Remote time climate

The remote have a light on them so I would have said that if the light comes on when the button pressed then the battery is not flat. Also seems strange that both batteries are flat.
I would go to another dealer who will pick car up and drop it off for you, I did moved from a dealer close to me and sister dealership to yours to Guy Salmon at Aylsford Maidstone, service and work quality is far superior.
Or as has been said, get Geoff to do it for you. MY17 D5 1st Edition Namib Orange

Geoff did not say the remote got programmed to the car or to the box, all I said was it seems strange that both batteries are flat especially if the light on the remote comes on when the button on the remote is pressed. I am aware that the plip can be re-programmed to operate diffrent boxes by removing one fuse and then following a process. MY17 D5 1st Edition Namib Orange

Geof when re-programing a 2nd remote as per the process above, does the first remote have to be re-programmed at the same time or will that rember the unit despite the fuse being pulled for the programming of the 2nd remote? MY17 D5 1st Edition Namib Orange
