Timed Climate - dial in set up ? |
|
Hoping that our resident techies can advise
I have taken out the old GSM receiver module from my outgoing D3, this worked via the Webasto timer unit...is there a way that I can set it up in a similar way to dial in to the timed climate feature on the D4 ?
Thanks ever so 21 year LR veteran > D2 GS 2003 > D3 S 2006 > D3 HSE 2009 > D4 HSE 2013 > D4 HSE 2015 > D5 HSE 2018 > DS HSE R-Dynamic P300e 2021

DG Wiggs has done it with a GSM unit and a spare fob for the remote heat. The fob is wiered to the GSM unit and when you call the Gsm it operates the fob. I have a spare fob to do this but not yet got the GSM unit. MY17 D5 1st Edition Namib Orange
MY15 D4 HSE Kaikoura Stone
MY12 D4 HSE Nara Bronze Sold and gone
MY11 D4 HSE Stornaway Grey Sold and gone
D3 S spec Silver Sold and gone
Tow bar, full length roof bars, side steps, tow bar storage unit, surround camers.

The 2 wires that were soldered to the webasto oval timer need to be soldered to the on button on a timed climate remote . That's all I did . Good thing about it you can mount the gsm and fob anywhere in the car
It's rumoured that you can do with out a fob and send 12v to the timed climate receiver . This is then supposed to start the can bus signal to start the timed climate ... But I have never tryed G4 Gone ...but not forgotten

This appears to be the unit ...is this a good price ?

BTW Will the climate unit already have a receiver built in for the remote ? 21 year LR veteran > D2 GS 2003 > D3 S 2006 > D3 HSE 2009 > D4 HSE 2013 > D4 HSE 2015 > D5 HSE 2018 > DS HSE R-Dynamic P300e 2021
