Thanks Adrian,
There is a independant dealer who has AL availbale and I hope he would be able todo the enablements in the CCF if I supply the kit for timed climate.
Was thinking buying an D4 MV liecence for MSV2, but for one job its not economical, as most of thelater D4's are already supplied with timed climate and remotes over here.
Cheers

Andy,
That is a really good offer, but I am afraid the post office or DHL / UPS / TNT / Fedex would loose it.
As its a one off job and there is a local indie in Oslo, who has Autologic, I thought I could use him again.
I have used him before to enable BT on a D3 in my abcense, Ok the chap didnt really know what was going on, and with some pointers from wiggs we got it sorted.
Its just a question of if its possible to do it with AL, and if I have to hold his hand while he does it too, as he wasnt comfortable doing the BT enablements.
Cheers

According to the AL promotional literature, The AL is the only equipment currently availiable that can be used do some CCF editing.
Clearly as some third party outfit that follows and copies all others, we are going to have to do some serious investigation into what the CCF editing business is all about as we really are are pretty new to all this

The Autologic system is a fancy bit of kit, and can edit the CCF file. However, it is not completely foolproof.
On one car, I tried to enable something (think it was follow me home reverse lights) which stopped the remote locking from working...
And enabling Scandanavian DRL's on a Disco4 brought up a transmission fault...
Admittedly, this was a good while ago now, and AL are on the ball, releasing several updates every week. These issues may now have been resolved. In the past 12 months, our own machine has been updated 127 times My D3 Build Thread

Having just installed Windows 7 for the first time on my new Big Blue II Mega PC, i was pretty surpised that it needed 135 updates.
Currently BBS has has introduced about 30 Updates for the Faultmate system, but over half of them were introduced before the Faultmate hardware was even introduced.
I believe it was something like 1996/7 when i first assembled a set of embedded PC hardware based upon a 5 and 1/4 inch main board hooked up to a 12.1 inch VGA display and resistive touch screen, and i used cut sheets of clear perspex and wooden corner pieces to screw them together, in order to create what was probably the worlds first Tablet Type PC and thus prove the concept.
Initially the prototypes i had produced by Baf Box in Banbury proved that my initial design of the Auto Logic was intuitive enough to use when cradled in the arm, but carrying it was akward. So i added big carry handles to each end. initially the prototypes mounting blocks of the carry handles were prone to rotating as they only had one big bolt affixing them to the case, so i had a small rebate added to stop this.
