Sat nav

Hi
My sat nav is the total opposite way round, ie when i am going north it says im going south has anybody got any ideas on how to rectify this problem

Is it that important that the compass shows the correct way? As long as the sat nav is taking you on the correct roads I wouldn't be too bothered.

Thanks mate,

may be i didnt explain the problem correctly.

i set off yesterday going north but the vehicle icon on the display was going south, its like a mirror image the maping shows ireland to the east not the west ?

That is odd.

Are you sure you haven't locked the compass direction function on the Sat Nav? You can lock the screen so it doesn't rotate through the compass points as you drive. Might just be that the mapping is upside down due to that. I've came up from Dorset last month and for a while I was going what looked to be south to me but in fact it was just the way the map had rotated itself. Locked the compass and unlocked it and it rotated back to normal. The compass itself was always pointing North though so that might not be the problem.

Hi

I have looked and the sat nav is saying no G P S. When i bought the car it had a spoiler on it with a high level brake light which is over the original as the antena is in this light could it not be connected ? so im thinking get another antena that sits on the dash any thoughts and i have no owner book can i find out which one will fit. Maplins have 1 for £11.00
