My car (54 plate HSE) has buttons for a phone (not the red/green ones on the wheel though) but whenever I attempt to access any phone functions it says phone not fitted. Is there anything I can do to use the built-in phone system (preferably with an iPhone) or should I go down the parrot/headset route?

You won't have the phone system fitted without the red / green phone buttons
You can retro fit the phone system ... But it would need enabling once fitted G4 Gone ...but not forgotten

If you don't have the red and green phone buttons on the steering wheel then you don't have Bluetooth
You can retro fit but you would need b/t module ,steering wheel buttons and if you haven't got voice you would proberly need a mic

Thanks - I assume the phone system that would have worked with this would have been a dedicated bit of hardware then? If I retrofit with bluetooth I also assume I'd need a new steering wheel..?

I'm in a similar position to Redsix... I'm picking up a 54 plate HSE next weekend and need Bluetooth phone connectivity. Car I'm buying doesn't have the phone buttons on the wheel either so I've presumed it won't have a phone fitting and I was looking at a Parrot. I was going to ask if anyone knew of a reliable installer near to me but you've just got me thinking... Any ideas how much it would be to fit a LR kit? Would it be better than a Parrot 9200 when fitted and would it be cheaper?
