Not overly sure what one.
My dealer is supplying the defender one. The G4 kit list on the owner forum has every item listed and the relevant part numbers. Ian

[quote="IanT599"]Good choice.
G4 wise the winch needs to be checked you should get a wired controller check forward/reverse, check the roof lights are (a) working and (b) free from damage. They are about £500 each light.quote]
Depends on what is damaged on the light, if it's just the glass, bulb or lense these can be replaced as a kit from hella europe, cost about £60.00 and is a 10 minute job to replace... had to do mine when I bought it as one wasnt working.
If all four of the roof lights don't come on at all, check the wiring and fuses as some LR dealers disconnected them for "Safety" reasons, likewise with the winch rope, some trucks that were used on selection may have been removed as LR couldnt guarantee them. It should have an 11mm orange ruftracks plasma rope on it though again this may have been replaced woth a horrid cheap wire for safety reasons.
Andy Thomson at Ruftracks can supply you a new orange one for about £200 if you mention the G4OC G4OC Secretary

I have a query on how to fit a CB aerial on my G4. I don't want to drill holes so was thinking of a hand held system like a Midland 42. However the roof rack floor won't take a magnetic aerial. How would I earth the aerial if I bolt it onto the roof rack rails? Any ideas?

Mine is bolted to the roof bar as it still had the co-axial cable fitted from the selection seems to work fine. G4OC Secretary

My G4 was one of the very few used for the Great Britain and Ireland team selection process, so it was fully kitted out, including radio kit.... G4OC Secretary

Nice. Which roof rail is your aerial bolted to? One of the wider crossrails or one of the lengthwise ones?

I've got the coax from top glove box to rear of roof rack but no aerial on the roof or radio in the dash. Also got a power lead in the top glove box too so I'm ready to go. Just need an aerial and the cb transceiver. Ian

I'm fitting a portable unit in mine so it can be run in the vehicle, or clipped on my belt when out and about.... G4OC Secretary
