Best than oil flush:

-Change oil and filter at shorter intervals. a no brain method is the "hard use" intervals as recomended by LR

or if yours is very large unatended for many miles, do two oil + filter changes in short time -I mean after a hundred miles or so-

If at the end, you decide use it ( I dont recomend it, LR refuses warranty on an wrecked engine for using a engine flush...so...):

Change oil two times after using it, i mean, old oil with flush out->new oil in, run it to mix it all well again and then change oil and filter and go happy motoring. (hard in the pocket in short time...)

Reason is oil flush mixes with the existent oil and clean (mainly by the action of solvents and detergents in its formulation) BUT when you remove the oil, wynns stay in the system (at oil passages, oil pump...etc) as and mixed with the old oil, you could think is only a little, but it is there and it continues doing its job and cleaning all at it run throught the engine, including cleaning of oil of hard work surfaces -bearings, skirts...- eliminating or the vital protection coat- it could equals problems at long term.

Anyway, actual oils do an excellent work, they are formulated with cleaning additives (plus much other as defoamers, flocculants,..) that works evenly with the lubrication job they must do and, if the engine is serviced at correct intervals (and better if serviced when "hard use" demands) it will show an excellent cleanliness, you could watch the post where a member of this forum change the oil pump, you could see the engine is spotless, by the way, its a very well serviced engine.

Cleaning additives are not neccesary these days if we do what we must do.

I had a ticking from my engine about 2 years ago now I think it was.

I put 2 lots of engine flush in and two oil changes and the ticking never came back Thumbs Up
