Air suspension malfunction |
|
When I try to lower the suspension it goes about half way down and then goes the opposite way in fact it goes into extended mode as if it has hit an object. The level sensors have been cleaned and move freely. Is there a fault with the deflation valves as the front lappears to be lowering too quickly compared to. the rear. New rear busheds fitted and rear arms operate freely when suspension disconnected. What can the fault be?

We had one of these the other day. Loads of faults stored we cleared them and restored to original calibration. It's been fine since ( fingers crossed !)
It might need the same if you've just had suspension work done.

When I had to replace one of mine, once removed and moving the arm up and down could hear a scratching noise from inside, when the new one was all nice and quiet. Might be worth trying.

More likely your dryer beads need to be dried out. Blocks the air being exhausted and it hinks it is hung up. “There are only three sports: bullfighting, motor racing, and mountaineering; all the rest are merely gamesâ€

Ok thanks very much for the advise I will try those suggestions. How do you recalibrate the system?

We calibrate using our Autologic I'm not sure what other systems will do the same job.
While you've got the machine connected have a look at the height sensors values and check to see if they're similar to one and other side to side. If one is way out it may need replacing.

I would first try the dryer. remove the compressor, then remove the dryer. Take the beads out and sieve them to remove the fine powder that can block the filter pads. Then microwave them until they change colour. Reassemble.
There are some instructions on here to remove the compressor. Do a search. “There are only three sports: bullfighting, motor racing, and mountaineering; all the rest are merely gamesâ€

Being able to go into extended mode at a flick of a switch would be more use to to me than the "multistory car-park slouch" mode. Can someone work out how to instally this mod?
