Need to replace front ARB Stabiliser linkages |
|
How easy is it for a DIY-er to replace these linkages??
The rubbers in my originals have given up the ghost and have the 2 parts but not sure how to take the tension off the anti roll bar etc.
Thanks.... D3 TDV6

Hi,
Do you mean the drop links or the ARB bushes (as you mention the 'rubbers' have given up ???)
Both the ARB bushes and drop links are easy to change
Here's the workshop sheet for the front ARB drop link (proceedure for the rear is similar)
http://www.disco3.co.uk/gallery/albums/use...iliser.pdf
The ARB bushes are straight forward to change, it may be wise to give the nuts a soak with release fluid the night before Never get mad - get even !!

Yep, thanks it is the drop links needing replacement.
Should have been more specific in that the joints are loose not the rubber.
Thanks again for the doco, I wasn't,t sure if the stabiliser bar was under some form of load or not. Looks nice and straight forward. D3 TDV6

Just ordered a full set from TLO, after I discovered my RNS drop link had become detached. Will be tackling the job next week
