Problem with the engine temperature /thermostat Disc 3 tdv6

Hello ,

Maybe you can help me , I h a Disc 3 2007 TDV6, I have noticed that the temperature are moving up very very slow even yesterday after 20 miles it was not past the 1/4 and as far as I know thermostat need to take it to the 1/2 in the clock indicator very quickly no matter the climate outside.

Do you know is this is something that should be reported by the scanner? I made it last week and not code fault for that.

Do you know if there is any way to test the Engine/coolant sensor?

Do you know if there is any way to test the thermostat?

I really appreciate your help

Thank You from Costa Rica

Sounds like the problem I had.m No fault codes, turned out to be the sensor, very cheap and simple fix if that is the problem. See photos in my gallery here

Had the same too a while back and it is perhaps the easiest DIY fix there is.

When the sensor finally dies it fails to full hot, complete with red light, the aircon shuts down and the viscous fan goes into loony mode. You may wish to mention that to any other drivers of the as it scared the daylights out of my wife and she could hardly believe me when I said it was fine to continue to drive it!
