replace the passenger side actuator may as well as you keep mentioning thats the one that will not lock and only since battery flat and you used the key, it may be that that broke something in the actuator.
Door panel off, window out etc and replace actuator/lock mechanism

Could it be that something has jammed when you used the key to open the door and has stuck in the wrong position ?
