Hi LT,
we were in the tintent last week near LLandovery and drove Strata from south to north in our D2 std size AT tyres no problems, even though we had plenty of rain, the levels were fine
about 10 miles long and took us about 4 1/2 hours.... incl lunch, dog and bilberry stops
would recommend you take some pruners for the forest section at the Abbey/north end 1 or 2 low hanging twigglets but nothing serious.
the coffee is not bad in the visitor centre either, they just dont allow dogs into the grounds
we came back via Soar Y Mynydd from west to east with a tea stop at the Chapel 739542 to 784533 fine for the D3 steep and loose coming down to the chapel.
would recommend a drive around the edge of Llyn brianne reservoir as well, cracking views 8)
we then ended up at the pub for something to eat 767447 Nant Y Bai....... all in all a good day out.
enjoy
we explored a few other lanes in the area, but found quite a few have not been driven for a long.. long time..Transit! 2019

riverblanche, thanks for the tips
ids, try Smidge next time, it really works. I didn't need to use a head net when fishing. In the past I've found Skin So Soft to be OK provided that you kept moving, but standing for fishing it wasn't much use.

We did some lanes in Snowdonia on the Saturday and the SF and area on Sunday.
The 19" Pirelli ATR's were faultless and received no sidewall damage at all, despite the unforgiving rocky terrain.
Here's a tricky section on a lane in Snowdonia:
I'll post some more pics later.
No midges or mozzies, far too cold.
