Air Bag light stays on - now SORTED !!
Hi Guys,
Thought I was having a really good weekend - DVB-T and BlackVue wired in properly at last using piggy back fuse holders. Ran all my AV cables to / from the GVIF and sat back to enjoy the fruits of my labours; all very good and working well.
Then comes the rub - went to use the car yesterday and have the airbag warning light on . Thought it may just be a glitch so did the battery (+ and -) reset and cleared the code with my FCR. Excellent - for 2 seconds only - light comes back on again. Code is not recognised and it complains about resistance levels.
My assumption therefore, is that I have inadvertantly dislodged a cable / connector somewhere but I'm not sure where. Before I set about ripping the panels off again, does anyone have any ideas of where to look first ?? I was moving the passenger seat about quite a lot to access the GVIF but was also disconecting cable plugs in the footwell to wire in the AUX audio.
Pointers much appreciated please

I got the same issue when I was trying to fix the Sat Nav under the passenger
seat. The seat won't move on the buttons, only when you squeeze the wire
unit with coloured plugs (not sure of the correct name) and the air bag light is
on now.
I'd start there, especially if you've been moving the seat a lot.

OK - checked under passenger seat and all appears OK, have given the cables and connectors a good squeeze. No change - checked with my FaultMate MSV-2 got the following 2 codes.
B00101B
Passenger Frontal Stage 1 Deployment Control
•Deployment control circuit resistance above threshold
B00111B
Passenger Frontal Stage 2 Deployment Control
•Deployment control circuit resistance above threshold
The manual states check the airbag wiring connectors are correctly engaged. Refer to the guided diagnostic routine for this code on the approved diagnostic system. Check for steering angle sensor DTCs.
No Codes for the steering angle sensor
My problem is I do not know where the other wiring connectors are - any help appreciated

Sorted !!
Whipped the passenger side cover off (where the bonnet lever is) and found the first (nearest the door opening) multi-plug to be not quite installed right. A swift presss and a click - hey presto, all sorted.
