No headlights - any ideas

Chaps - some help please.

Been driving the car this evening all fine. Stopped for half an hour and when I get back in I have no headlights. The sidelights work ok. When I pull the lever forwards as when flashing the main beam works, but only with lever held back (this is how I resorted to drive home).

Any suggestions? Is this a simple or a complex fix?

Try fuse 62 (5 Amp) behind the glovebox. If that don't fix it, it could get expensive ... Shocked

Got up this morning and still not working Sad

Called local auto-electrician. Came out this morning.

Got in car to show him the problem - headlights came on. Embarassed

He fiddled about for a while and found nothing wrong. He did give the switch a good clean and checked connectors etc.

We shall see, BUT means I can afford the BAS chip Thumbs Up

If you want a switch for postage cost drop me a pm, its one without front fogs but it can at least let you test if it happens again.
