TV option

Hi all, another question i have,
I wondered what hardware /software is required to enable the wife to watch TV in the car, is it a case of fitting a digital tuner in the boot and then a case of software upgrade?
Thanks

You need

Tv tuner
4x antenna amps
2x antenna amp looms
1x coax from tuner to screen
1x tv tuner bracket

It would also need enabling

It costs bout £240 for cables/amps + deliver.

Mine came in at about £850/900, that is with a tv on the move module or if you didn't go for that you can always go through the diagnostic screen to watch it, but you can not change channel with that.

If you do go OEM, you will need to remove the rear drivers side quarter panel, the roof lining at the back to install the amps and run the cables to the TV tuner.
The cable that runs from the tv tuner to the sat nav screen is a pain as it terminates at the gear box, you then have to get another one that runs to the sat nav screen.

One of the scariest jobs I did was to solder on the rear windows.

If you decide to go down this route, give me a shout as I have all the part numbers you need and can provide some guidance on routing the cables etc.
