I got the Bosch one from Halfords, I had no choice at the time but had no issues with it.
Similar spec to LR, it was £130 I think! 2016 RR Sport Autobiography

Well I bought the Bosch one from euro car parts today, 15% off so about £117 with a five year guarantee, bargain
Err, no actually, damm thing is too big, it's about 40mm too long, this is the one that is picked for you from the euro car parts model. Ended up going to halfords, Bosch again but the right size same five year guarantee, £130 so still well cheap compared to LR.
Once fitted I then turned the ignition on and b R, the EPB fault is still there. I then heeded Flacks advice and found an empty car park and calibrated the XY sensor, did I really need that battery
Looking from a half full perspective, mine was still the original battery, so over 7 years of use, so it probably is close to end of life in the D3, may bung it in the Defender as it has more capacity for running the winch

the exide battery that euro car parts list will fit and is of a better spec than lr o/e
and why did you not use the UKPAS25 code for 25% off instead of the 15% code? the exide batery works out at £77 not bad money and mine will get 1 on before winter

The Bosch 5 year guarantee was attractive and if you look at the 25% offer it has exclusions, which includes batteries, they only get 15%Joined the BMWX5 45e group

i just tried that offer and it worked for me
they do have the wrong bosch battery listed unfortunatley but i think that someone on here has got 1 to fit
but price wise to compare the same 1 as you got from euro at halfrouds is £160 cant find a silver on euro website same as what you got to compare
last winter there were quite a few on here bought the exide with the 4 year guarantee and no problems were reported so that will be my choice before winter i am only changing my battery as it is 7 years old not because i have any electrical related problems i just dont want to be let down when i need the disco the most

I just couldn't get the damm thing in, I even cut out the angled bits in the bottom of the battery box thinking it may slip in but it is just too big, it would have worn the loom away at the back.
I didn't go back to ECP at the time as I had the battery out and done a hard reset, was getting near dinner and ECP are on the other side of Glasgow, not too bad from work but a real pain in the rush hour from home so I resorted to Halfords, a lot closer and at least they listed the right one and still a whole lot cheaper than LR. I'm ok with the price, just p d off about all the unnecessary hassle of a 10 minute job turning into several hours. Joined the BMWX5 45e group

My problem is that there is nowhere local to buy one. My nearest LR dealer is a 128 mile round trip.
The local car spares shop did not stock any battery to the LR spec.

What did you get Euan, if it wasn't a D3 I would say if the spec is the same then one battery is the same as the other, a daft concept I know!
Sorry Dave,I know you have already bought the Bosch one,and I forgot to get back to you but the non-oem battery I have is a Banner Starting Bull 12v 100ah 740a......looks to be about £100 http://www.tayna.co.uk/019-Banner-Starting...P8266.html
