Mud terrain suggestions.

Hi,

I run the mudterrains all year round, and want to continue to,

I am currently running 245/70 r 17 BFG mud terrain, and need new tyres.

I also have a set of 19" rims. and was wondering if anyone had tried the above BFG and the 255/55 r19 GY MTR, and could tell me how they compare.

As i need mudterrains but want the ones that behave best on the road. and the least noisey.

Thanks for any help and suggestions

BFG KM2 in 245/70/17 would get my vote

Failing that the new Cooper At3 looks good, all terrain rather than mud terrain though

Used to run 19" MTR's on the last Disco but just bought another D3 (after 18 months of withdrawal symptoms!!) and already have the 17" rims sitting in the shed for the KM2's Very Happy

Funnily enough, picked up a couple of sets of 17s last week and just this morning slung 5 KM2 245/70/17s in the boot. Thumbs Up

J,

Could you let me know how they compare once you have fitted them.

I am really interested in the difference in road handling and noise.

I think I want to move to the new MTR, but won't if they are louder than the bfg. As they are on the limit if what am happy with noise wise. Thanks

Bit of a thread resurrection... But only just got around to fitting the KM2's.

I've only done a hundred miles or so on them, and it's been a good while since I drove on MTR's (but have done about 30k miles on MTR's in the past).

First impressions are that they are noisier than the MTR's in the 30-50mph range. >50mph they seem very similar to how I remember the MTR's.
