transmision fluid

Hi guys , going to change the transmision fluid in my tdv6 dox and replace the pan and filter ( as she has the dreaded surging Crying or Very sad ) but cant seem to find an answer for how much fluid i need ??? the manual say nothing about quantity? , any one know the amount

There isn't an 'exact' quantity, you follow the refill proceedure until the fluid trickles out of the filler hole.

As a rough guide you'll need approx 5 litres, maybe 6 Thumbs Up
 Never get mad - get even !!

06 D3 now gone to family member and still going strong at 265k

previous vehicles:
04 D2 TD5 - (clocked 189k from new)
52 X-Trail 2.2 SVE
various euro boxes !

Character, does the pan and filter come as two separate parts to make replacement easier given limited access.
 2005, TDV6 S, Auto, 190k miles, owned from new, V8 Brake Upgrade, Nancom Evo, RLD protector, BAS EGR blanking & Remap, separate ATF cooler, changing all the fluids ahead of time.

nope, its an integral fitting of the sump cover I'm afraid, BTW they can do the whole job there if yer willing to leave it with them for the day and do a bit of shopping in Bristol....£260 plus vat
