If I was going to spend some money.... |
|
Hi, Howdy and Happy Sunday...
Ok, so if I was thinkin of spending a bit of money on upgrading certain things on my '07 D3 Auto GS... what would you recommend?
It's pretty much standard at the minute, hence the question.
I'm merely curious at the minute because I'll either do this, or wait till next year and get a newer D3 or push to a D4. Cheers,
Adam

Steering wheel switches for audio control, just plug and play, and then to balance out the steering wheel, cruise control for the other side. I got both from TLO for not a lot of money, but second hands ones crop up on flea bay on a regular basis. The cruise will need activating, but I think when I had it done, the switches and activation cost me less than a hundred beer tokens in total.
You could always go for the interior lighting upgrade. Thats puddle lights to the bottom of the doors, and both front footwells. All the wiring is there, and the lights just plug in. Six sets of lamps for not a lot of money, again I got mine from TLO.
I also updated the interior lights with the multi LED ones from Hids4u, again, not a lot of cash outlay.
You can spend as much as you want, or as little as you want. My wish list still has all the pricy bits left on it, larger wheels, side steps, xenons, etc etc Man with no D3 anymore, but cant leave the forum....how sad.

Same mpg as before remap, never found it made any difference. It's worth it purely for improving the drivability and oomph.

Fair enough, I'm seriously considering this after reading through that massive thread... 8) Cheers,
