Thule 591 bike racks

I have bought 3 of the above, and the come with bolts which slide into the slots on the genuine landrover cross bars.
However, you need to remove the rubber inserts on the bars.
Will it be noisy with the rubber inserts removed?
If so is the only solution to cut the inserts, and if it is, is it possible to buy replacement rubber inserts for when I'm not using the bike racks??

I cut mine and then put the bits back in when I was not using the bike racks as without them it whistles - however I have now lost one 8 inch bit in the garage.

I posted on here about replacements earlier this week and someone posted a link to a thule aero bar which I will measure to see if they're the same.

Very good bike rack.
