Basic Halogen headlights in Europe

I am struggling to see how to change headlights for European driving. I do not have Xenons as far as I can see. No levers etc as per other posts. The handbook just says to get stick on blanking mods. is this correct? If so can anyone advise where to get them from.

Hope someone can help

Thanks

You can get them from loads of places. Halfords, amazon.

Look for a universal one. Instructions inside will confirm placing for the head lamp shape and bulb position. I used similar ones on a BMW.

Carry a spare set as my bulb heated the glue and one fell off.

Don't worry about changing for Euroland, driven over there loads of times with halogens & xenons & never had any issues. Only got flashed in Tunisia but we think that was coz they didn't like 5 x xenon cars in a row! Rolling Eyes

I carry a set of "beam benders", but have in many trips to France over the last 4 years never fitted them, from experience they leave a sticky c Censored p on the lens so unless euro plod insists I fit then I do not.

I do mainly use Motorways / dual carrageways at night and never get flasheed, single track roads are a little differant, but where we are you see 1 car evey 5 miles Rolling with laughter

I made my own beam benders from the LR Tech sheet which shows where they should go and how big they should be to accomodate the D3 headlights .....
