Following rather a lot of flood water driving at the weekend, my aux belt is squealing like a hungry pig whenever it gets damp. Got a replacement on the way from Nick, but wondered f I need any special tools to do the aux belt? Tensioner was only done last year and seems fine - it's contamination that has done for the belt.
List of tools and any pointers appreciated I know it's not considered "kind" to say no these days, but no. Just no, ok? And if it's not ok, still no.

Dead simple bud, just remove the large inter-cooler pipe by 1 big jubilee clip and two 8mm headed bolts, Pull this off and then just pull up on the cooling fan cowl , unclip the small black hose and slide out from under the pipe the cowl.
Then you need to remove the fan, unclip and unplug the fan connector, then use a 36mm undo the left-handed threaded nut whilst holding the pully from turning, you can just do it with a screw driver wedged in. Remove the fan .
All you need now is to take note of how the belt is located around each pully, then using a 1/2 inch drive breaker bar in the square hole lever the adjuster towards the drivers side of the car and remove the belt, then just do the reverse of above to rebuild it. You don't need anything else on the aux belt change tool wise.

You can change the belt and the tensioner without removing the fan if you don't have a fan removal tool. The belt is easy, but the tensioner involves moving the fan until you can get a ratchet with the right extension to reach through the blades.
I did mine in a car park
