Can anyone recommend a decent iPad seat bracket please? This is so I can put a movie on for the kids in the back.
Most brackets on the market seem to support adjustable headrests but as the disco has solid headrests I wondered if there were a few tried and tested options...
Many Thanks...

in car bite store, I have 2 in the D4 and they work well, only gripe is there is no easy way to hide the cable and the end of the cable is a cigarette plug, not a USB

Hi
The disco dosnt have solid head rests you can move them up and down but not back and forward
Dont buy cheap brackets be very careful what you buy as in an accident cheap brackets can cause serious injuries

Thanks for the replies. I think the invite store option won't work as the headrests aren't adjustable.
Anyone have a D3 that they have mounted an iPad to successfully?
Thanks

ipad brackets
Hi Hinezee
Im not following what you are asking most of the good ipad brakets clamp onto the headrest shafts which move up and down and you dont need to move the headrest you mobe the bracket that holds the ipad as its on a ball and socket arrangement.
Go and look at this site www.brodit.com we use these in our installations they dont deal direct with the general public but if you want one of their brackets come back to me and I will see what I can do for you
cheers

Have a look between the TOP of the seat back and the BOTTOM of the headrest !
There are TWO metal prongs that insert into the seat back !
These two prongs are what the Mount attaches to ?
Has your D3 got these ?Only dead fish go with the Flow !

I have Vogel's in car ipad bracket mounted to the passenger headrest posts of my 2006 D3. It is imo the best mounting kit on the market, good build quality, secures, rotates and tilts. Here's a pic of the bracket fitted in my old BMW. It is now mounted in the same way in my D3. Not sure how to raise or lower the head rests as some suggest, the side handle which bolts to the headrest seems to prevent this.
I managed to squeeze the bracket between the headrest and the top of the seat back to fit round the posts. It separates into two parts that snap together from the front and back of the seat to clamp onto the headrest posts.
There are a few options for Vogels ipad mount system and I recommend buying the kit which allows mounting to walls as well as in the car as it's the best value for money and comes with a table stand also. The system uses a plastic case which fits to the rear of the ipad with a socket to connect with the mounting stud(s). This works with the smart cover and offers some protection if dropped. Doesn't add much to thickness either.

I currently have the same issue, trying to find bracket for this headrest with my 05D3. Here is a pic of the headrest and I didn't find any bracket that would properly fit for it so far.

Could you please confirm that the Vogel's "RingO Car Pack" would fit in it as in this picture ?

First insert the forward half section of the bracket from the front passenger seat. It helps if you use your fingers to raise the base of the headrest slightly around the posts to guide the bracket in. The foam compresses easily enough and means you won't tear the leather/cloth by forcing it. To connect more easily to the rear half section of the bracket it helps to push down on the bracket you inserted from the front side of the seat as the pressure of the headrest angles this down into the top of the seat back making it fiddly to connect.
Fits nicely I think. Feel free to query if you have problems or anything isn't clear.

Top tip: I tied a bit of string between the headrests and hung the iPad over this via the cover! But will invest in something more suitable...
