EGR BLANKING & SOFTWARE PATCH FIX EURO4 MY2007>
Bellautos Egr software patch fix
I Have been one of several people testing a My2007> EGR software patch fix for Pete at Bellautos and early results are great !!!
I had previously tried to blank the egr,s on My2007 Euro4 disco3 and went into limp mode within a mile
Installed petes egr software patch on friday through my Faultmate MSV-2 by way of petes BAS Installer in the same way I installed the BAS re map .
Since friday i have travelled over 200 miles and no Mils and no limp mode I have noticed the MPG is better according to the on board screen but will be doing a more detailed analysis on this in time,
Also noticed that pre-blanking had a slight bit of black smoke when accelerating hard which now seems to have dissapeared
I think petes done a tremendous job on this and Highly recommended to anyone in need of his services
Im a happy bunny now Last night I lay in bed looking up at the stars in the sky and I thought to myself, where,s the f**king ceiling!!

I think there will be a lot of people happy to hear that the patch is now available and they will be able to blank their EGRs.

I have new EGRs on the way from the UK and will fit them when they arrive - I would also like to blank them at the same time - so how do I get this new blanking kit that works?

If Pete's patch works, won't you be able to leave your original EGRs in place and return the new ones ?

Hi All
At this moment the ecu flash update patch is designed to let you blank the EGR valves as seen WITH the removal of the butterfly which is an important part of the EGR blanking process and must be carried out.
The design of the patch at this moment is that you MUST leave the electrically connected components connected to your EGR valves as not to get an open circuit fault and mil light on on the dash due to the wiring being removed.
Tests at the moment are looking very good for a public release very soon of which I need to work out the pricing and availability structure for it later today.
Id like to make very clear due to MOT regulations and any LandRover warranty that your vehicle may have, that this patch is aimed for off road use ONLY and may void your Land Rover warranty if applied and the EGRs are blanked just as any other modification could do. This will only affect people with factory warranty of course.
I have to state to make it perfectly clear for all that intend to purchase and use it, that this patch is very new and you will be useing it at your own risk. The patch can ONLY be applied to owners of the BAS remap interface & MSV2 Tune owners and that the car it is used on MUST have the egr blanked and butterfly removed. This is very important due to the way the software deactivates the EGR valves and EGR throttle (butterfly).
I will start a new thread later of which I will link in here about the pricing and how its going to work.
Pete

So I also need to buy your remap for this to work? Bummer as I do not want to remap my engine.
The search continues I guess.
Thanks for your efforts though - it is good to see that someone is trying to sort these issues.

garrycol,
At some point this will be available without my remap, but it will still need some type of programming tool to apply it to your engine ecu like BAS remap or MSV2 etc etc as it is a software patch and not hardware.

I have also had the EGR patch from Pete loaded via remap tool, done 160 mile trip with mostly motorway driving no faults stored, mega grin returned and got 31mpg traveling at legal limits measured at the pump, indicated 34mpg. Very happy with the fix after all my efforts to do a bypass failed. Well worth the wait. A few mods... and keeping it all running...Faultmate MSV2
MY09EGR's blanked Thanks Bellautos, BAS

Can't wait for the none remap option, I would like a remap as well but that's not affordable at the moment. Hey ho, and when I do get it done, I have to go see bas, cos I don't have a windoze pc.
Never cease to be impressed by Pete's work and eagerly looking forward to this being released I know it's not considered "kind" to say no these days, but no. Just no, ok? And if it's not ok, still no.
