2010 HSE Rear Brake Pads

Got the car back from the dealers yesterday after a service, they reported rear pads are 70% worn and quoted me £230 to fit new ones, i declined at them moment but i'm thinking of replacing them myself.

Is it an easy job to fit them?
how much are replacement LR pads? (and are there any group discounts?)
any special tools needed?
any links on how to fit them?

Brake windback tool.....

With the pads still in place, a sturdy screwdriver inserted and levered back will do the same thing. The pads help to make sure the caliper piston remains straight. Bodsys Brake Bible

"Windback" is really only applicable to rear calipers with integrated handbrake mechanisms, where you have to rotate the piston whilst pushing back.

This doesn't apply to the D3 or 4. 06 D3 SE / 15 LR D90 XS SW / 88 LR 90 Td5 / 68 BMW 2000 ti

£230 for pads only seems a pit steep to me. I had the rear pads, disks and sensor replaced this week for £330 ish.

Nothing like a bit of standard pricing eh!? Rolling Eyes Bri
