Euan might be worth reying Terry Younger at the body shop in berwick on 01289302726 he did all four D3 18s wheels late last year while i ran on 17s and coopers while hoping for lots of snow i think they came in at £70 a corner inc removing and refitting balanecing tyres.

Covanhill powder coaters near Forth do an excellent job. Had several sets of wheels done by them at a reasonable cost JRC

Euan, Skidz in Falkirk are about the best around, have used them several times and put a lot of people in touch with them, had a set of 20' stormers done recently for £300 ( painted in hyper silver not powder coated) and came back like new, they gave us a loan set to use whilst they were being refurbed.
Cheers
Col. to finish second is to be first last !!

Thanks for all the suggestions people.....The Wheel Specialist came back with an auto-generated improvement of £72 a wheel...which is closer to what I will pay....if they use the same marketing techniques as Warrantywise,I should get another 2 "reduction in quote" e-mails before they ring me with their lowest offer !......
In the meantime Pentland Powder Coatings quoted £250 which includes a free loan car for the day
The plot thickens....... "Better to remain silent and be thought a fool, than to speak out and remove all doubt" ?.....what rubbish...

I used the wheel specialist in East Kilbride, I was very impressed and totally recommend the company.
They told me that the quotes are high because its a national company and different areas have different prices so will always quote for the highest area (London). Give them a call and see what they say. I got mine done when I needed to change tyres anyway so saved another £40 or so like that (I've been in Scotland toooooooo long ) Joined the BMWX5 45e group

Hi Dave....we'll make a Sweaty of you yet !......
It was a colleague of Stephen O's that recommended the Wheel Specialist to me in the first place. He was very pleased with the results on his Landcruiser.
I always put a lot of faith in other peoples personal experiences,so judging by the response here,I have a good choice of decent re-furb places to choose from....its now a question of price...(I'm a true Scotsman) !
