OK being having a bit of a play this afternoon, tried to do the trick with the alarm so it sounds the horns instead of the alarm. On D3 it was a case of unplugging the alarm sounder and it defaulted to the car horns, this does not work on MY12 D4's.  MY17 D5 1st Edition Namib Orange

it can be turned off in the CCF it uses the horn then instead.  Club Forum Criminal !!!

Strange, my D4 sounds the horn as part of the alarm - always has - and without any mods.
Plus, if you disconnect the sounder you loose the feedback from the keyless locking system i.e. the bleeps if the you have an open door or left thekeys inside.

Did not try that, took plug out and tried alarm, no sound just indicators flashing. Will try the beeps for keu etc when I get a chance. MY17 D5 1st Edition Namib Orange
