drumming noise coming form front end

can any one put some light on this , i have got a drumming noise coming for the front end i have put 2 new hubs on but still have same noise .

Don't CV joints bang rather than hum when they are faulty?, especially on full lock.

I remember it, DiscoDunc was ... had one for sale Thumbs Up ... and yes, you can only change by a new or a used unit in good condition .. no cutting or repair possible or if there is very expensive and hard to find parts.

ok had the disco up on the jack and had a play with the wheels to see if i could hear any noise from the diff , well all i heard was a brake pad rub on both sides no noise form the diff at all , so is this a good way off telling if the diff is good or not . any info would be much welcome

Just grab the shaft and see if it moves...don't even need to jack it up for that. I'd also check the one that runs from the diff to the transfer case.
