Heavy Duty Gabion Stone Baskets
The most common use of gabions is to stabilize shorelines or slopes against erosion.
Other uses include retaining walls, temporary flood walls to filter silt from run-off, for small or temporary/permanent dams, river training, channel lining.
They may be used to direct the force of a flow of flood water around a vulnerable structure, divert streams and rivers.
Gabion baskets have some advantages over loose riprap because of their modularity and ability to be stacked in various shapes.
They are also resistant to being washed away by moving water.
Gabions also have advantages over more rigid structures because they can conform to ground movement, dissipate energy from flowing water, and drain freely.
Their strength and effectiveness increases with time, as silt and vegetation fill the interstitial voids and reinforce the structure.
Please note that these don't have top mesh lids like in the picture.

These have 3 partitions which strengthen the gabion
even further. Each partition is 68.5 cm (27 inches) wide.
3mm diameter galvanised heavy duty mesh type baskets.
Can assist with loading onto trailer with JCB.
Each one comes flat packed.
Pickup or am able to meet up in Glasgow at a set time and date if amount is 20+ units.

these also make for great architectural features in landscaping work so if anyone is doing a garden make over they look pretty nice if filled with correct stone large raised beds, hide ugly walls/fences etc...XC90 T8 R Design Pro

My neighbour has just used these in his garden to make it level, they look quite good actually altho they are not heavy duty like these ?
With grey slate stacked up inside they look really neat and tidy !Only dead fish go with the Flow !

have used over 150 on job we just finished , look good with dry layed stone in them
would look good in any garden -------------------------------------------------
if you cant hold on dont let go , it ill come in handy for something even if you never use it.
