Just to add, for the record, that MY12 works very well with sandisk 32gb sticks.

Having a knob is the way forward a stick is in the past
Ducking for cover now
All joking aside, when I first got the car I was not keen on the knob and would have swapped back to the lever if I could. However now I have got used to it I believe it is better that the gear lever MY17 D5 1st Edition Namib Orange

Am I right in saying that the firmware has been updated between the my11 and my12? Maybe allowing the larger
Memory stick? Also do the my12's not need the special lead from landrover for the iPod, and can just use the stand apple USB
Lead?

My MY12 will take a large stick, I have tried a 16gb one that works OK, however it won't do you any good because if you fill it up the system just gives up and doesn't play anything bar about 1 track.
I currently have about 6-7gb of music which is working OK, just wish they gave you the Album info and a better way to browse the files, my 7 year old Navara had a better system than this, it really is pants for 2012.

Which is the best one to have by the way
Before that stupid knob'o'matic which is due to be withdrawn shortly anyway!
Have to agree with you crews, I had a MY 12 XS for a week whilst mine was having the cameras sorted, the new control knob and layout of the centre console was horrible (that is my opinion - some will disagree), the gear change was lumpy and boy was there a lag when accelerating from a junction. I did think the fuel consumption was supposed to be better - I dont do a lot of mileage but my figures (not from the D4 computer) showed that my MY11 got an extra 1.5 miles to the gallon. really pleased to get my own D4 back - not one camera problem since
Didn't like the new software for the radio, nav etc either - seemed rather cluttered. One thing I did notice was that the XS I had also had off road nav and the wheel articulation display - thought these were only on the premium system which this one did not have.
