My Disco trip computer is confused!

I normally leave the trip computer in the fuel consumption mode and it happily shows consumption in L/100Km.
However, the other day I clicked it to show 'range' and it shows the range in MILES!!! Similarly, the average speed and trip functions also display in non-metric units.
This is a recent phenomenon...previously all of the functions displayed the metric units.
I have tried the reset...holding the button in etc, but to no avail. Fuel consumption stays in the metric measure; everything else is stubbornly non-metric. Sad

Has anybody else experienced this problem...and if so, is there a simple fix?

I apologise if this has been dealt with before...but I couldn't see anything in my simple search.
My vehicle is a Disco 3, TDV6 SE, 2005 vintage.

Thanks in anticipation of some insights into the mystery of the LR computer!

There was some mention of this happening to someone else a couple of years back.
If memory serves , it required an entire new instrument assem. Soemthing to do with
non-reversible software path . Ask on the UK faults and fixes section .

This happened to me a while back. Took it back to a dealer and they set it back to l/100 k. I would get all your software updated while you are there.. it hasn't happen since

Thank you both Neil and jdea for your replies.
I don't relish the thought of a new instrument pack, but I will try my repair guy next time it's in for a service and see what he can do.
At the end of the day, it's something I can live with if it can't be fixed cost effectively...but we all like our LR's to function as they should eh?
Thanks again Very Happy

Are you using different keys? My D3 is a UK car and I re set it so the trip was in KM. (the main unit is in Miles). If you open the car with a different key it sets the trip to miles. If I use the key that was used to open the car when it was set to Km it reads in KM. It obviously thinks it is a personal setting like the seat position. Hope this helps.
