Glad you think it's funny AJS4X4 as I am certainly not laughing.
But at least we know how you do business.
Even though it wasn't intended for you, you'll help yourself anyway.
Fair game if it's a For Sale or Ebay Bargain Spot post, but to quickly buyout
an item that someone has requested and another member kindly took the time
to point out to the requester for self gain is a bit low I think, especially when you're then
gonna rub their face in it.
You weren't aware of these at all until it was pointed out by cdsymons and then bought them
before I even got a chance.
Very courteous.

Don't like my humour then, very sorry but this sort of thing happens to me every day, it's advertised on an open forum and don't think I stole these off you so please un-twist your nickers, I also check Ebay very early as I am always up very early to catch a deal.
The buy button was hit at about 6am.

He's something like that I know it's not considered "kind" to say no these days, but no. Just no, ok? And if it's not ok, still no.

Quotation taken from the ebay section:
Dom Harvey wrote:Disco duck wrote:good idea for peeps to let one another know what were bidding on as well so we don't bid against eachother
...in the old days we had a gentleman's agreement not to bid against each other but its every man for himself these days apparently.
Aah, the good old days indeed!

Really sharp practice in my opinion!
To have done this and then go on the board mocking the original poster is not the type of spirit that I think this forum stands for.
Yes, EBay is open to all, however the link for the item was intended for the original poster. It would have been common courtesy to have asked the original poster whether he was interested before rushing in and buying!
I,for one, will be crossing AJS4x4 off my shopping list when buying new tyres in the future!
This forum is about friendship and trust, and it is a pity that in future the members will need to PM information rather than post it on the open forum, for fear of the vultures circling....

+2.......not really the spirit this forum supports. Reading through its fair enough anybody could have purchased them, just the gloating is fundamentally wrong.

it's why commercial trade members who use this forum simply to make a profit should not be allowed in my opinion.
This is a forum to allow people with a genuine interest in the Landrover Discovery to swap information etc, not a forum to help trade members make a quick buck at the expense of a genuine member/enthusiast.

+3 Sure, it's a cut-throat world out there but to find an oasis of decency where a gentlmanly approach can be taken and trusted is something worth standing for.
