Anyone sick of their D3
My 2 year old has always been great traveling around and was never a problem in my TD5. Quite happy sat in her seat for hours while we go up and down the country visiting friends and family.
However.... In the month I've had my D3 she has been sick on 3 of the 4 long journeys (1 1/2 hours +).
My wife who in the past has suffered travel sickness in cars hasn't had any ill effects in the D3 (and rarely in the TD5).
Anyone else found their D3s inducing travel sickness? Coffeecup

One of the major causes of motion sickness is looking out the side windows as you're going along, maybe she's just old enough now to do more of that or maybe she get's better visibilty in the D3. Try putting up one of those stick-on blinds and see if that makes a difference

Any idea which version of the software is on your car? - my Dec 2004 model has just had the latest software loaded and the suspension has gone from being well sorted to now "wallowy" in a way it wasn't before & would certainly now induce car-sickness - LR are looking into it but this could certainly be quite an issue with "computer generation" cars if the whole basis of our vehicle can alter at the click of a pc mouse

I put my 4 year old in the centre of the middle row seats and this gives him an uninterupted view out the front on the stadium seating and he doesn't need to look out the side window.
I do agree that the air suspension does give you the "wallowing in water" feeling and this was my first thought when I took one for a test drive and it could be a reason for the motion sickness.

Appreciate the suggestion of putting in the middle seat.
One downside to this would be that both myself and the Centre Console would be in closer proximity to any 'fall out' Coffeecup

How about a big bucket strapped to the console lid
Sorry for the sick idea (no pun intended)

Better still, open the cubby box lid, remove contents and replace with an empty plastic bag - not a supermarket one as they have small holes in the bottom. In the event of motion induced sickness, and the resultant projectile discharge, careful braking to invoke negative G force should result the in the bag being neatly filled, without the risk of testing the waterproofing of the terrain response and other centre console switches.
The cubby box lid can be neatly closed following the incident until such time as a suitable stopping point can be reached........

A classic example of the lack of practcal testing by LR = they're happy to tell you how they poured a can of Coke into the Terrain Response system, but I for one would have been a lot more impressed if they claimed their testers had deliberately vommited into it.

Would you have been even more impressed, had they vomited into the Terrain Response system after drinking Coke Coffeecup
