status 550 aerial or recommendations
I'm looking to put a new aerial on my abbey spectrum 620 as the reception is bad, I've got an omni directional fitted now but I keep losing some of the channels, does anyone know if the status 550 might do the trick or is anything else recommended, I have it kept permanently on site near Pwllheli North Wales,I would like to keep the original look of the van as it's not that old.

I have a status omni directional on my 2010 Elddis and had terrible reception - turned out to be faulty - I bypassed it to discover this and they then replaced it Wanted a Series 2 LR since childhood but previously owned MY16 Disco Sport HSE TD4 Auto, MY13 RR Sport Black Edition TDV6 Auto, MY10 RR Sport HSE TDV6 Auto, 2007 Freelander 1 Freestyle TD4 Soft Top, 2009 Freelander 2 GS TD4 Auto, 2007 Freelander 2 GS TD4, 2004 Disco 2 Metropolis Auto, 2002 Disco 2 GS, 2000 Freelander 1 SE TD4 SW

Did you replace it with another omnidirectional like for like, or did you go for a directional which I have been told is better.

The Status 550 apparently is a replacement for the 530 and is another log periodic antenna. I certainly don't have any problems receiving digital terrestial TV with my 530, unless the transmitter signal is particularly poor.MY12 D4 HSE Ipanema Sand
I just fitted the 550 last weekend, works fine so far even when the signal finder stays at red, so gets my vote.

We have the 530 and that works pretty well - much better than the omni directional unit we had before.LR Discovery 4 XS pulling an Airstream 532 Caravan also own (since new) a 1996 MGF
