So roughly 220000 discovery 3's built so ignoring d4 numbersnthatbaround 9% of cars built are on the forum.....

As a guess 5percent are no more, scrapped etc, so I would guess that the figure is higher.

Or lower coz lots on here are repeat offenders, I've had 3 of them.
Or higher coz lots of cars have had more than one owner on here, SWMBO's was both me & JMC.

So, as an offshoot, some anorak type must know the answer to this one. Which spec of D3 was the most produced, and which spec is the rarest? (Not aftermarket conversions) Man with no D3 anymore, but cant leave the forum....how sad.

I suppose a V8 SE would be the rarest main stream model. Then again, a V8 coiler is possible. Talking UK only, I have no idea about V6 petrol engined derivatives.

Those HSE's are common as muck. I think my S will be much more rare
