To turn transitions off you have to press the settings button which is under the screen, then press screen then press screen animations and turn off transitions. Cheers Ian

I also find everything on thr MY 12 entertainment system incredibly sluggish, very frustratingly so.
I came from an MY10 to an MY12 and they are very different responsiveness wise in comparison, even the mrs has been moaning about the painful slowness of entering a post code in the sat nav, basicially having to wait between each key entry.
So, is the general consensus that's just the way it is, and it improves slightly if you take off the transitions effect?
How about the OP who compared with I'm assuming a 2012 courtesy model which seemed much better, was there any further outcome with that?

Coincidently I received a customer satisfaction survey from Land Rover this morning and the only minus point I made was the infotainment system being deathly slow and unresponsive. Cheers Ian

I've got a D4 XS as a loaner at the moment with circa 1600miles on the clock and MY12 and i have to say for the price of the car its friggin slow to respond to requests. Changing volume it does a bit and then waits to display the volume circle/knob on screen then does some more... the MY10 i had a while back was much better in this respect and the NAV as well as its stupid the view it gives, though kudos for the centre instrument panel hook-in.
It really needs a decent processor or proper coding to get it responding much much quicker! and the general experience is left lacking and UN-ergominc in my personal and professional opinion it either needs overhauling or some major tweaks. FFRR Owner, very nearly became a D3 owner
Test piloted a new D4 XS SDV6.. Gone and being forgotten i hope!!

Surely it would not be too much to ask that LR release a simple tweak (update?) for the infotainment system to make it quicker and more responsive?

They simply can not be bothered to be honest and have little real interest in real customers unless they have black American express cards.... FFRR Owner, very nearly became a D3 owner

New touch screen and processing is different on the MY12 it is now Meridian instead of Harman Kardon. Same a babyRR and Jag. Very sluglish. My phone was echoing, reversing camera failed to appear a couple of times and voume dial came up when scroling folders. Had software update done we will see how it goes. “There are only three sports: bullfighting, motor racing, and mountaineering; all the rest are merely gamesâ€
