Which caravan club to join
Hi y'all, I am about to get breakdown cover for the old bus, and as I tow a caravan this needs covering as well, I have two main options
Camping and caravaning club, who are hooked up with the rac arrival , or do I go to the caravan club and join their mayday with green flag.
Both have their merits and both have down sides,
I'm interested in the views of other on here.

Tough call.
We belonged to both for three years but only used caravan club sites so ditched the other one.
We have taken up separate cover with green flag to cover all the options whether towing or not.
I don't expect that has helped at all Member of the carrot crank club

I am currently with green flag I have their rescue package I think, but although it covers the caravan, the mayday does offer more but at a slight increase in cost.
Les40 how do you know pray tell.

Not for this year on the European cover, the caravan is a big single axle but nothing out of the ordinary.

I use Mayday because of the dual journey , I think they call it that , take you there and try and get you car fixed and if it is not complete by the end of the holiday return you and van home and move car to a local garage to your home.
That's how I understood it anyway

RAC arrival taken out through the camping and caravanning club does not have a maximum length/weight of caravan or motorhome and will also come onsite to recover your car and caravan.Tintenter

We have belonged to both in the past and found the Caravan club to be much more up to date with better quality sites, we now only belong to the Caravan club and Mayday, I hope none of us need the services of Maday but you never know, the price you pay for this cover is nothing like what a recovery firm would charge to get you home even if you could find one at any time of day or night, you can also find some very nice CL sites at very good prices,
The Caravan Club for me, been with then for over 25 years

It comes down to price really.
Cc and mayday all in comes at £42cc and £89 mayday, so £131
Ccc and rac all in comes at £40ccc and £ 180 for rac arrival, so £220
I wanted to know wether or not the mayday from green flag was any good, I have only ever called the rac out once and they tried to stiff me for extra recovery gear to get the old disco, ( put disclock on with no key) on the back of a lorry.
Looks like it will be cc and green flag,
But next year we may go abroad and mayday doesn't cover that, so not sure which way to go for that .

How come the French right wing leader is a fit wench, who is accepted in society, and we get a fat miserable bloke who is a social leper.
But yup I may go abroad to get away from the forigners
