Take care with breakdown cover if towing as some won't cover recovery of a broken down caravan.
Most will recover the caravan if its the towing car which has broken down.

I thought that the RAC cover if taken out direct wont cover 'vans over 6mtrs long, but does if taken out via the caravan club.
For Europe, I've used Europ Assist (used to be Mondial I think), as they will recover 'vans up to 8Mtrs.

We initially joined ccc but found that cc members got a discount to haven sites which we sometimes go to for the kids.
We then joined cc and are now members of both because I forgot to cancel the yearly subscrupition to ccc

Caravan Club is far superior in terms of quality of pitches and sites in general. Hard to book weekends unless you do it in advance though.

Yep, that's what I found out when trying to get cover through the Caravan Club [includes Greenflag cover].
In the end I got cover from Britannia.
But I had to cover the D4 [which I don't need as it's got LR Assist], but then that also covers my caravan and also gives breakdown cover for swmbo's car. ...... always on the road less travelled 🚧

LR ssist doesnt cover the caravan (they said in good will, they might also tow the 'van to the LR dealers with the car)
The Mayday cover via the CC club looks the best. Its lower cost, covers big 'vans, and best of all for me is the additional car cover, as my daughter needed cover, and for 21quid, her car is covered also. In fact any cars at the same address for 21 quid a year, any driver (as its the car thats caovered)
