changing the twin axle!

hi guyz:
currently have a 2004 sterling elite overlander and thinking of changing it. Afe things i need is 6ft4 headroom the only one that seems to do the job easily is BalieyPegasus Bologna very nice van: any other thoughts? i do like the older style Eldiss Crusader range though with the "bling" windows:
ideally after a fixed bed now as getting old!
cheers
Steve

Our new Bailey Olympus has 6'5" headroom, like you, I need at least 6'4".

We've gone for th 620-6, which is a 6 berth with fixed bed - very nice open roomer interior when compared with most fixed bed models

I thought all the latest bailey's using the aultec shell had 6'5" headroom.

got a 2008 crusader although going to change next year proboably as the fixed beds not long enough for me and im 5 11 so if you need a lot of headroom seriously check the beds out as unless theres arranged across the back they pinch length to squeeze them in Thumbs Up

We looked at a bologna before we went for a unicorn Madrid.

I cannot rate the new alutech baileys enough. Very very solid van that tows really well and is so warm it's untrue.

The only issue we've had is a dripping bathroom tap in over 4000 towing miles in 10 months of ownership.

Better headroom, particularly at the front of the van as its a much flatter front that doesn't have the roof tapering like pretty much every other van.

like the new baileys internally but theyve screwed the front end up badly they now look like an old tram compare to say the new swifts with the wrap over roof vision panel on the front end their pig ugly but sure this will get sorted as the design evolves in all other departments especially value for money you will struggle to beat a bailey. Thumbs Up
